Worship Program is the pinnacle and synthesis of the Work Camp experience. While Work Camp looks like a service program, serving others is just a device used to refocus students away from themselves and onto the needs of others. When that happens, God has a prime opportunity to interrupt their normal cycles and thought processes to identify areas for growth, highlight core truths, reveal issues to be addressed and to intensify their faith.
Just like with any other camp, Work Camp’s Worship Program team plans and runs the events at Home Base at the beginning and end of each day. Students enjoy crazy games, hilarious videos, intense dance parties and other campy fun before rich times of worship and teaching. Speakers focus on the annual theme for Work Camp and deliver powerful messages to connect with students.
At the end of the week there is a Senior Commissioning ceremony and students are given ample time to share testimonies from their week as they process and learn from the experience they just completed.
