FLOWER CITY WORK CAMP LEADERSHIP TEAM
Flower City Work Camp is an entirely volunteer run organization, leveraging the strengths of individuals who have been in and around the ministry for many years. These volunteers have big hearts, great skills and pour themselves into making sure the ministry is able to function flawlessly year after year.
Jill Carter – Camp Director
Jill loves Work Camp so much, she has stayed involved ever since serving as an adult volunteer in 2008. In addition to leading Work Camp, Jill serves with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and teaches middle school Bible at Rochester Christian School. Jill has served as the FCWC Camp Director since 2021. She and her family reside in Rochester and worship at Browncroft Community Church. Email Jill at jill@flowercityworkcamp.org
Alissa Cantazarro – Asst. Camp Director
Alissa is another former camper turned adult volunteer who assists the Camp Director with volunteer recruitment, building teams and coordinating logistics for Work Camp. Email Alissa at alissa@flowercityworkcamp.org
Becky Kilbride – Student Ministry Coordinator
Kirsten Borkowski – Church Communications Coordinator
Kirsten has served as an adult volunteer before moving into the role of Church Communication Coordinator. She works at RIT as a sign language interpreter and volunteers as an interpreter at Open Door Baptist Church. Kirsten and her husband Matt live in Henrietta, and they have three daughters. Jenna Farley – Overnight Leader Coordinator
Jenna is a former FCWC camper who loves Work Camp so much she never wanted to leave! After staying overnight with the students from her church for years, she began coordinating the amazing people who give up their sleep for a week to make Flower City possible. Alicia Eisenhart – Lunch Coordinator
Ken Moore – Worksites Director
Ken leads our Worksites ministry, recruiting and training worksite leaders and roving experts, screening and selecting homes for student teams to serve on and coordinating for the work to be completed on time and on budget. He is assisted by a wonderful team of volunteers who make the most complex component of Work Camp look easy. Ken is a retired engineer who spent his career at Xerox. Tom Mariano – Sidewalk Clubs Director
Tom leads the energetic and outgoing Sidewalk Clubs team, focusing on selecting service sites, building and training neighborhood evangelism teams and providing the necessary supplies to deploy with. He is also supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who work together to make it all happen. Tom works for the Greece Central School District as the Director of IT, resides with his wife and children in Rochester and worships at Lakeshore Community Church.
Jesse Tanner – Sport Camp Director & Soccer Camp Lead
Jesse leads our basketball and soccer sports camps through a partnership with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). FCA is staffed locally with former Work Camp volunteers who have a desire to see their programs integrated into our program’s format during Spring Break. Jesse, who formerly served on staff with Bethel Christian Fellowship, now works for FCA focused on X. He, his wife and children reside in East Rochester and worship at Elim Fellowship. Stephanie Ward – Agency Support Director
Stephanie leads the Agency Support team, identifying service projects to perform for local area non-profit organizations and building teams to accomplish them. She and her family reside in Rochester and worship at Webster Assembly of God. Email Stephanie at agency@flowercityworkcamp.org
Josh Eisenhart – Worship Program Director
Josh leads the program team focusing on recruiting speakers, designing the morning and evening program sessions, recruiting the worship band and audio/visual design. Josh formerly served for two decades as the Youth Director at Browncroft Community Church and now is a realtor in the Rochester area. Josh also serves on the Flower City Outreach board of directors. He, his wife Alicia and two kids reside in Penfield and worship at Browncroft Community Church.

Mike McOrmond – FCO Executive Director
Mike McOrmond founded Flower City Work Camp (FCWC) in 1985 and led it in the early years before moving on to other ministry opportunities. He later rejoined the organization as a charter member of the Flower City Outreach Board of Directors when the organization incorporated in 2015. He served as the Board Chairman for three years before stepping into the paid professional role of Executive Director in 2020. Mike has been ministering for the past 40 plus years in the region in both pastoral and traditional marketplace roles. He is married to his college sweetheart, Tammy, whom he met at Houghton College and they are blessed with seven children, one daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren. All seven of their children have attended FCWC as campers. He resides in Penfield, NY with his wife and worships at Grace Road Church. Email Mike at mike@flowercityworkcamp.org
Ryan T. Smith – FCO Webmaster
Ryan T. Smith has served on the Board since 2015 and also served as Flower City Outreach’s Executive Director from 2015-2020. Smith specializes in leading non-profit organizations, serving as the Executive Director of the Spirit of Blue Foundation, a national public charity focused on enhancing the safety of police officers, Executive Director of Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement and the founder and Executive Director of Rose City Work Camp in Portland, Oregon.
